My youngest daughter has had a major crush on Zac Efron since the first High School Musical years ago. Her love for this particular (adorable) actor has only grown through two other High School Musicals and Hairspray. However, little did Mr. Efron know that a beautiful British actor was approaching the scene and vying to take his place not only in my daughter's heart, but in young hearts all across the country.
Actually, this young actor has won the hearts of all ages. With his quirky good looks, colorful personality and accent - Robert Pattinson has become what many experts are terming, "The New Zac Efron." I thought my daughter would choke on the words - but she, somehow seems okay with them. She just says, "There's room for both." I'm not sure if she means in the world, on her bedroom walls, or in her heart, but she's right either way.
I find something particularly interesting about the actors that appeal most to female fans these days. They aren't so much the rugged, big tough guys that appealed to girls in the past. They're the softer, more laid back and easy going men that send girl's hearts racing. I think it is a sign of the times and, well, a sign of the girls. They do not necessarily want to be rescued anymore - although they could not ask for a cuter knight on a white horse. They had rather be in on the rescue than be the one being saved!
As a mother of three daughters, I honestly love what this has to say about young girls. As another shout out to where females are today, the Twilight books were written by a female and the movie was directed by a female.
I think Twilight's popularity can be explained in several ways. First and foremost, the movie is based on an incredible series of books by a very, very talented author. The writing and the characters are as compelling and fascinating as you could ever hope for. It's a great, classic love story told in a fresh, beautiful, and bold new way. There's plenty of action, mystery, and suspense, but at the heart of the story - there is the love Bella has for Edward and the love Edward has for Bella.
Edward, of course, is played by the current reigning prince of hotness, Robert Pattinson. So, does he deserve the title? Is it all hype that will disappear next month?
Personally, I know a thing or two about heartthrobs. Not only because of my three daughter, but it was not that long ago that I collected my own posters and my heart collected its own throbs. When I watched the Zac Efron phenomenon begin to grow, I knew that he would stick around for a very long time. He has a kindness and graciousness that compliment his looks and talent. I also have to say that I do not believe there is a "new" Zac Efron simply because the "old" one hasn't gone anywhere! He is even younger than Robert Pattinson and has countless years left of making females knees weak.
I think that one thing Robert has going for him that Zac doesn't is availability. Admirably, Zac is in a long term relationship with his girlfriend, Vanessa. This makes him less accessible to the female fans. On the other hand, they see the unattached Robert Pattinson and feel much freer to fantasize. There is no beautiful young actress in the way! Yet.
Something else that I think Robert has going for him, in addition to looks and talent, is a great personality. He's quirky, off beat, self depreciating, and has a very dry wit. I think every guy in the world should take note: Females love to laugh and if you can make them do so with a killer sense of humor, you're halfway there.
There is a little bit of mystification in the air between the Twilight star Robin Pattinson and Edward Cullen. Twilight fans will surely feel distressed by my opinion. Robert Pattinson did feature earlier in a much bigger project of Harry Potter playing a pivotal character of Cedric Diggory in the movie "Goblet of Fire". But, did that film provide him proper platform to international stardom?
Yes, it is. Quite a big change has been seen in his previous and current's appearance and why should not he be like this. You would also give me the same opinion that it is Edward Cullen that has provided him ultimate success and unexpected days of his life.
No doubt that Robert has got the charm and has got what it takes to grab the attention of fans all across the globe, because of his entirely structured face cut and the sex appeal the man has got. Don't you think this is the ideal yet charming face whom girls believe and have faith on? The vampire parted between his platonic love for Bella Swan and his obsession for human blood has induced the majority of females to spill over him.
